Tim's Christmas Wish List

A more current list!
I moved my Christmas list over to Google Docs. Have a peek!

Lightweight trekking pole
Perhaps a pole will help my knee on steep slopes. Collapsible seems handy. (The pole, not the knee.)

Gadgets
This Hong Kong store has free shipping on their many thousands of useful and/or flashing gadgets. Expect 4 weeks to deliver!

Board games!
Board games are still wonderful. GermanGames.com has a great selection, prices and reasonable shipping. Amazon.ca has lots too. Some small titles: Medici vs Strozzi, For Sale, Coloretto. Used copies are welcome.

Books
If you've read a book and wanted other people to read it, then I'm happy to be that person. I'm particularly looking for thought-provoking grown-up books these days. Used books are welcome! Something that makes us both feel well-read would be keen. My Amazon wish list has more.

Clothes
No-iron shirts that would be good for a dinner party. Camping clothes, synthetics that are light, quick dry or fuzzy warm.

Emergency Gear
I'm trying to put together a kit of items in case of earthquake or raging Mongols. We're missing a hand-crank radio, a thermal blanket, plastic sheeting for broken windows, perhaps a tarp, crowbar, staple gun. Other things I haven't thought of. Canadian Tire is an easy source for common goods, and they deliver. Avoid prepackaged emergency kits though, because they duplicate a lot of camping gear.
